So, it all happened when I was traveling to the US and it’s a very long journey and I don’t like to watch movies or play games during a flight this long because it makes my eyes sour. So, I like to read books and I finished most of Rick Riordans and J.K Rowling’s Books and was looking for something similar to these books and so, my search began for a book and after searching for hours, I came across this book named “Son Of Mars: Origins” and Dan Brown’s “Origins”. Now, obviously anyone would go for Dan Brown’s “Origins” because well, it’s Dan Brown, the writer of “Da Vinci Code”. A marvelous piece of literature and fiction but I chose the other one because of it’s mesmerizing cover and also because it’s synopsis resonated the word “badass” in my mind.So, it was final that I would be going for this particular book. I also tried researching on this book and they don’t have a lot of info on this book,so, I went to the publisher’s website and got some info which I’ll share after my review.Starting with the review, I should mention that the book is quite slow at the start but equally interesting as you find out new facts about the protagonist.The book also takes references from elsewhere which is okay. Reading the book, it was very obvious that the author is a first time but even then, it’s not that bad. The book starts moving quickly in the second half. I should also mention that this book is a must read for comic lovers and superhero fanatics because the protagonist of the story becomes one while reaching the end of the story(Oops!! Spoiler Alert!!) but yeah, that was on purpose. Still, for a debut novel, the author has done a marvelous job because the book’s got all the good stuff like fictional places, elements and more which I don’t want to disclose and then the ending, very dramatic but shocking and saddening. My favorite part of the book was the protagonist’s suit which he gets that he can morph by saying some words and as I said, towards the end of the story, he gets a badass upgrade which(spoiler Alert!!) also has a cape. I think this book does not have any recognization in the world, so, I’d just like everyone to read this book because it’s got magic and technology and all the drama and the moves, the action moves and The scenery are irresistible to visualize. And of course, the author being of Indian origin, adds urban legends to describe present day scenarios and it doesn’t stop there, there’s a monarchy system that controls the solar system and then there are deaths and the backstory and also cameos which I should not talk about. It’s a complete package for sci-fi and fantasy lovers. The origin chapter which I believe is a very new concept and an amazing one, it was one of my favorite chapters in the story. And so, I am waiting for the next part of the story because the ending of the story strongly hints towards a next part and I conclude my review here with some info I got on the publishers website.

Son Of Mars: Origins (2018) is a sci-fi and fantasy based novel published by Notion Press and written by Ishaan Bohra. It is the first level entry novel in a series which revolves around the origins of the protagonist Ronnie Rodgers and how the character’s life changes when he realizes he has destructive untamed power to change the universe as we know it. Further in the story, the protagonist finds a dark secret about his family that leaves him vengeful for the torture that his family went through. Along the journey, the character has to deal with death and sorrow of his friends and newly found family which at last makes him determined to end the mess created by the antagonist and to save the world from an enormous invasion that might end humanity for good.

Most of the story takes place in fictional places which are hidden from the entire world. The story also portrays a new, one of a kind, never seen monarchy system consisting of Kings and Queens that have control over the planets in our solar system. The story consists of breath-taking scenes and places that are irresistible to visualize. Finally, the journey of the protagonist forces him to become the protector of the planet that hate and disown him. With major technological advancements, his suit and weapons are like none. The protagonist might be quite powerful but his friends are nonetheless, excellent warriors and great comedians that try to cheer him up along this journey. At the end, we find about a new character that joins this excellent roster of superheroes.
